Supplies Needed:
Templates:
FreeStyle™ Card, Envelope, and Liner Templates – Wedge
Patterned Papers:
Two Coordinating patterned papers – one striped pattern, one polka-dot pattern
Two small pieces of coordinating patterned paper (for the tea cup die cut)
Other:
Coordinating Ribbon
Rub-on message ‘Hi there’
Sizzix Die Cut – Tea Cup
Using the reverse die cut on the envelope is a nice touch as it ties it back to the card.
Instructions:
- Cut the polka dot patterned paper to the Wedge Card template size. Cut the coordinating striped patterned paper to the size of the front of the parallelogram card (half of the card’s overall size). Diagonally cut the striped paper from the bottom left corner to the top right corner. Glue down onto card. Glue the coordinating ribbon over the seam and press down firmly to assure good adhesion. Cut the excess ribbon off from the top and bottom edges. Cut two die cuts of a tea cup using coordinating papers. Use the top and bottom from one cup and the middle from the other cup and recreate the tea cup on the front of the card, over to the left. Using the rub-on phrases, square up to the bottom of the card, and rub the words “Hi there!” on. Decorate the inside of the card with your sentiments.
- To make the matching envelope, simply use a sheet of the polka-dot paper and follow the directions for the Wedge envelope. Use the striped patterned paper for the liner. Using the left over pieces from the tea cups, recreate using the reverse patterns and glue onto the left side of the envelope.
